Born in Sofia and having spent more than half her life in Montreux and Geneva, Gergana Faust has always embraced multiculturalism and the many forms of design. She soon showed a particular interest in interior design and architecture, but it was nature that captured her heart and inspired her first self-taught creations.
Through her sculptures, she aspires to achieve pure freedom by using unfinished forms. This gives the imaginary world the freedom to find its own purpose and symbolism and embark on a boundless journey.
Her 2023 exhibition, « Entre deux Mondes, » calls on our intuition to explore the freedom of thought. It marks the beginning of a journey toward reconnecting with our innate senses, which have been overshadowed in our angular, virtual world.
Gergana gives a modern, new meaning to a traditional genre to provide an escapist breath of fresh air in our habitat and invite an aesthetic, symbolic presence of nature devoid of artifice to become part of it.
The few colors used never contrast with the natural nuances of the works. They effortlessly harmonize with the main work and tenderly blend in with the sculpture, breaking down the staid appearance of the simple object and giving it movement.
Movement is life.
